Youghiogheny River Fishing Locations

Trout Hike - Youghiogheny River (MD - Sang Yang Run Upstream)
Monday, January 19, 2009

The Sang Run access point opens up a wide, beautiful stretch of the Yough

Trout Recon - Youghiogheny (Friendsville, MD)
Monday, January 15, 2007

River looks pretty dull up here.  We did not have time to hike very far south on the road to Kendall - it may pick up down there.

Trout Hike - Youghiogheny (MD - Swallow Falls North)
Monday, November 06, 2006

We were in the hunt for the elephants that were stocked here last month - 65 six pounders covertly inserted into the river at Swallow Falls

Trout Hike - Youghiogheny (MD - Swallow Falls South)
Monday, October 30, 2006

For those who are willing to hump it in, it looks like good pocket water about a mile south from the parking lot on an otherwise unproductive section of the river

Trout Hike - Youghiogheny (MD - Hoyes Run)
Monday, October 16, 2006

Water was low the day we were there.  This is a tough river to walk.  Plenty of pools and good smallie action in spite of the water level
